JOHN SALISBURY

 

John W. Salisbury, 65, of Crowley, Texas, passed away Friday March 27, 2015 at Community Hospice House at Huguley in Fort Worth, Texas.

He was born December 1, 1949 in Cleveland. Mr. Salisbury was raised in Lorain County and had resided in Texas for the past 30 years. He was a 1967 graduate of Elyria High School. He also received his Bachelors degree from the University of Nevada at Reno and his MBA from Akron University.

Mr. Salisbury was a former social studies teacher at Northwood Junior High School in Elyria. He also worked as an accountant and auditor for several companies.

He was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church in Mansfield, Texas, of the Pi Sigma Alpha Fraternity, and a former member of First Congregational United Church of Christ in North Ridgeville. He was also a 3rd Degree Night and a member of the Knights of Columbus in Mansfield, Texas.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Rose (nee Serianni); two daughters, Angela Salisbury of Orlando, FL and Andrea Prichard (Tanner) of Corpus Christi, TX; one grandson, Blake Prichard; two sisters, Judy Willcox (Alan) of Perrysburg and Mary Karlovec (Bob) of Elyria; three brothers, Cliff Salisbury (Betty) of Elyria, Robert Salisbury of Elyria and Kenneth Salisbury (Eloise Rudy) of Fairview Park; and by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Gladys (nee Ponting) Salisbury.
