COUNCIL #3182 - CHRISTOPHER COUNCIL REMEMBERS
WALLACE WARREN REED

Wallace Warren Reed Jr., age 76 of Wilmington, suddenly passed away on October 30, 2022.

Wallace was born in Tennessee to the late Wallace Reed Sr. and Dorothy Kitts Reed. He proudly served in the US Navy. After serving, he relocated to Delaware where he helped operate a family-owned Federal Bake Shop. Afterwards he honed his professional trade of furniture upholstery and repair, putting in well over 30 years of service. After retiring, Wallace stayed busy working at Food Lion where he was very well-liked. In fact, many of his co-workers have said that their day was always brighter the days they worked with “Mr. Wallace”.

Wallace will be remembered for his catchphrase “Everyday’s a holiday” and his outwardly sunny disposition that made so many people smile. He loved cheering on the Phillies and Eagles and always had an extra game schedule to share with a passerby. Above all, Wallace loved and looked after his family. He was a caring and supportive father and grandfather. He showed that he loved his family deeply and was always there to rescue those in need.

Wallace is survived by his children Tammy Reed-Potter, Victoria Novack (Robert Jr.), and Christopher Reed; grandchildren Emily Potter, Matthew Novack, and Lauren Novack; and siblings Thomas Reed (Miriam), Stephen Reed, and Jane Weber (Darold).
