John Anthony "Jack" Caragol Jr., age 85, of Southport, North Carolina passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2025.

Jack was born on February 24, 1940, in Barcelona, Spain, to the late John Anthony Caragol Sr. and Maria Rosa Caragol. At the age of six, he immigrated to the United States and was raised in New York and Connecticut. He proudly served four years in the United States Navy, during which he traveled extensively throughout Europe and the Middle East.

Jack earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Western Michigan University. He went on to build a distinguished career in sales and marketing, including two decades at Levi Strauss & Company, where he was recognized multiple times with national awards for outstanding sales performance.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Beth Caragol; his two children, Theresa Caragol (Andrew Hartwell) and Jack Caragol (Tanya Caragol); four cherished grandchildren, Ariana, AJ, Sierra, and Sammy. In addition, he is survived by his five brothers, Tony, William, Jim, Mike, and Dick Caragol; and three sisters, Rosemary Caragol, Vicki Gilbride, and Elizabeth Bowler.

A man of many interests and talents, Jack was an avid guitarist and vocalist, performing in several bands throughout his life. He also enjoyed golfing, boating, and fishing. He generously gave his time as a volunteer firefighter in St. James, NC, and was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus. Above all, Jack treasured time spent with his grandchildren, who brought immense joy to his life.

A funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 21, 2025, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Southport, North Carolina. The family will receive friends and family for visitation at the church beginning at 10:00 a.m. A reception will follow the service at The Members Club in St. James.
