LOUIS F. KELLY

 

Louis F. Kelly, 84, Duncansville, went home to be with his Lord on Monday, unexpectedly. He was born in Newry, son of the late Pius Edgar and Ethel Veronica (Costlow) Kelly.

He married Gloria J. Hoffer on Dec. 30, 1961, at St. Patrick's Church, Newry.

Surviving are his wife; two sons, Allan Kelly (Brenda) and Robert Kelly (Penny); five grandchildren: Josh, Brittney, Amanda, Zach and Emily; eight great-grandchildren; six siblings: Rick Kelly, Sister Jane Kelly RSM, Constance Dolinski, Mary Hetrick, Eileen Hileman and Rebecca Elias; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by eight siblings: Charlene M. Kelly, Gladys Glunt, Dolores Simpson, Sister Charlene Kelly RSM, Patrick Kelly, Michael Kelly, John Kelly and Gerald Kelly.

Lou was a 1959 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School. He retired from SKF USA Inc. in 2003 after 42 years of service.

He was a faithful member of St. Patrick Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Lou enjoyed stock car racing, hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 10, 2025, at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., Duncansville.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, April 11, 2025, at St. Patrick's Church, with Father Allen P. Zeth as celebrant. Interment will take place at St. Patrick Cemetery.
