Sometime in late 1977, Bill went on a blind date with Sarah Doman, a teacher at Owatonna High School. The rest is history. Bill and Sarah were wed in December of 1978. They loved to travel, and they covered many miles before Sarah passed away in 2006. Bill bowled and liked to play golf. He was active in the Knights of Columbus, Lions Club, Elks Lodge 1395, VFW Post 3723, and American Legion Post 77 where he was a member of the Color Guard for many years.
