Obituary for George Robert Pollock

March 01, 2015 the hour of 11 struck for George Robert Pollock of Tucson, Arizona. He took his footsteps home to the Lord to be with his father Smsgt Alden Pollock, mother Maggie Pollock and sister Nancy Deaton. George finished his journey here on earth peacefully and surrounded by his family. George is survived by his brother Patrick Pollock, and the children and grandchildren he lived to love, Charlene Gould of Cleburne Texas, Catherine Galyon of Tucson, Wendy Knopp and Son-in-Law Corey of Tucson. George had 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Born in Sioux City Iowa, George enjoyed growing up in a Military Family and began his successful career with the US Air Force in 1969. Master Sergeant George was a Flight Engineer and Flight Instructor for C-130 aircraft and enjoyed the traditions and honor of serving in the US Military. After retiring George taught his children to never be afraid to settle for less than achieving your dreams and opened up his own business in Globe/Miami, Arizona where he found his next passion when he joined the Elks Lodge. George was proud and honored when he became an Exalted Ruler with the Elks and enjoyed the rituals, traditions and most importantly the charity work in which the Elks participates . After moving back to Tucson to be closer to his family he began his membership with the Knights of Columbus at the St. Pius X parish. Continuing to work with the Elks and Knights of Columbus he doubled the amount of help he could offer the community.
