WHITE, Irvin On Monday, January 9th at the age of 72, Irvin White passed away peacefully at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie with grace and his sense of humour, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband and best friend of 53 years to Margaret nee Wanamaker, the love of his life. Loving and devoted Father to his children Roxanne husband Lloyd, James wife Janice, Mary jo and Bob, John wife Chris, and Jeremy. Best and loving Grandpa to Marc, Carina, Rachelle, Benjamin, Natalie and Hannah and Great-grandfather to Ishau. Pre-deceased by his brother Leeman and wife Theresa, pre-deceased by sister Elsie and husband the late Harold Laine, sister Betty Helston and husband Lionel Edgerton, brothers Bill wife Lorna, Bob and wife Susan and many nieces and nephews. He was a dedicated member of the Knights of Columbus. He volunteered for many years coaching Legion All-star hockey teams, Out of the Cold, Share Life at St. John Vianney, and Pope John Paul's visit. Family and friends may call at the Jennett Chapel of the McCLELLAND & SLESSOR Funeral Home, 152 Bradford Street in Barrie on Friday, January 13th from 2-4 and 7-9 with evening prayers. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. John Vianney Church, 13 Baldwin Lane in Barrie on Saturday, January 14th at 11:00 am. Memorial donations to the Lung Association or to the St. Vincent de Paul Society would be appreciated. A very special thank you to all the staff at the R.V.H.
