Simon (Sy) Beck
Simon Beck, born September 11, 1944, and passed away November 25, 2024.
Devoted husband of 54 years of Kathleen Beck (nee Pieroni); loving father of Lorianne (John) McGuire and Darren Beck; cherished grandfather of Molly and Maddie McGuire; dear brother-in-law of Lisa and Rob Altenbach, and Mario and Peggy Pieroni. Uncle to Angela Pieroni, Isabella and Rudy Altenbach
Simon was preceded in death by his parents, Juliana and Anton Beck; and his sister, Mary. He was employed inresearch and development at Teletype Corporation, Resurrection Hospital and Lehman Printing.
He was a member of St Emily’s Parish and a Knight of Columbus Council 6481.
Simon cherished spending time with family and his many friends. His passions ranged from sports to road trips and hiking National Parks with his wife. He was always willing to share his wealth of little-known facts and his sense of humor remained intact until the very end. He especially cherished time spent with his children and grandchildren. He will be deeply missed.
Visitation on Saturday, December 14, 9:30 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. at St. Emily Church, 1400 E. Central Rd., Mt. Prospect, IL 60056.
