It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bruno Cossarini, who passed away after a short illness on November 12, 2024.
Bruno was the beloved husband of the late Lyn Cossarini, the loving father of Perry and Shelly Fiorido (Bob), the cherished grandfather of Vanessa (Brodie Germain) and Carly, and proud great-grandfather of Remi Lynn. He was predeceased by his brothers, Mario and Aldo, and parents, Magenta and Perry. Bruno is survived by his longtime companion Angie Rupert as well as nieces, cousins, and many friends.
Bruno was an award-winning salesman and entrepreneur who applied his skills to sell various products and services throughout his long career in both Canada and the U.S.
He lived an amazingly active life, being an avid golfer for over 30 years as well as a marathon runner— even qualifying for the Boston Marathon in 1974.
He enjoyed travelling extensively, was a valued member of the Fogolar Furlan Club, and served on the Board for Transition to Betterness. Socially, he could be found most mornings at the Tim Horton’s on the corner of Dougall and Cabana, conversing with his friends.
But, his real love was his family who he spent as much time with as possible, a lot of it as a regular at Spago’s.
Brother Bruno was an Honorary Life member of the Knights of Columbus which he joined over 50 years ago and transferred his membership to our Council in 2000. |
