Major Leonard V. Rother 10/25/1926 – 1/7/2015 Our beloved father and grandfather passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer and is now basking in the glory of God's love and joyfully celebrating with his wife and all those who have gone before him. Len was born in Vermillion, Minnesota to Anna and Nicholas Rother. He is predeceased by his loving wife, Mary Anne with whom he shared 41 years of marriage. Len is survived by his six loving children, Daniel (Ron), Kathryn, Steven (Ann), Kevin (Julie), Connie (Lori), and Margaret (Ernie). He is also survived by his five grandchildren, Sara, Lauren, Logan, Brandon, and Tabitha and one great-granddaughter, Kaylee. Len served proudly in the United States Air Force for 26 years. While attending Officer Candidate School he met the love of his life, Mary. Len and Mary moved to many locations such as Alaska, Texas, Virginia, and Massachusetts, each time adding one more member to the family. After retiring from the Air Force in 1971, Len went back to school to attain a degree in teaching. Len taught elementary education for 16 years in Sunnyside School District at Liberty Elementary.
