O’NEILL, Patrick Francis – At the age of 68, Patrick passed away after a courageous battle with cancer. Leaving behind his beloved wife Barbara (nee Yale) and cherished daughter Katelyn. Lovingly thought of by his sister Maureen and brothers Jimmy, John and Brendan. Loving uncle, brother-in-law, son-in-law and friend to many who will miss him. Predeceased by parents Mary and James and brother Andrew. Patrick was born in Ireland and came to Canada where he worked for many years as a carpenter until his retirement. He had a great love for the outdoors, travel and reading, particularly about current events and history. Visitation at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 from 3-5 & 7-9 pm. Vigil Prayers at 2:30 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 287 Plains Rd. E., Burlington, on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at 10:30 am. Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Burlington. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Patrick are asked to consider The Carpenter Hospice, Burlington, or the Canadian Cancer Society – Halton Driving Program. |
