Mr. Michael Dwain Sullivan, age 73 of Fleming Island, FL passed away on November 5, 2021 following a long and courageous battle with Leukemia. Michael was born October 6, 1948 in Tifton, GA, the son of Clyde W. Sullivan and Orpha Potter Sullivan. He graduated in 1966 from Ribault High School and soon after served our country proudly in the U.S. Air Force. He then began his career with Bellsouth/AT&T and retired following nearly 30 years of dedicated service. Michael's legacy of love, faith, and family and his enjoyment of cruise travel and planning family events will live on in his family's hearts. Michael was predeceased and now is reunited in heaven with his parents and his daughter Amanda who passed away at the age of 16 in 2000. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Deborah N. Sullivan; his daughter Michelle Gaston (Ryan) and their children Campbell and Cassidy Gaston; his sister Sandra Wilson (Steve); also many other loving family members, friends, and associates. A Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of his life will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday November 10, 2021 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 7190 US-17, Fleming Island, FL 32003 with Fr. Mike Pendergraft Celebrant. Interment will follow in Holly Hill Cemetery in Middleburg, FL. Family members will receive friends at Jacksonville Memory Gardens Funeral Home TODAY from 2:00 PM until 3:30 PM and ask that in lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Lymphoma and Leukemia Society at www.givenow.lls.org/donate
