Jeffrey “Jeff†L. Buckmaster, 73, passed away peacefully at his residence on April 30, 2024, with family by his side. Jeff was born in Green Bay on September 22, 1950, the son of the late Neal and Dorothy (Rabida) Buckmaster. Growing up in Allouez, Jeff found baseball which he playfully described as his first love. He later studied at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College and received his degree in police science.
Jeff married his true love, Patricia “Pat†Beaurain, on April 10, 1976, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Lincoln, WI. He worked as a correctional officer at the Green Bay Correctional Institute for 30 years. However, in his free time, Jeff enjoyed following his children and grandchildren’s school and sporting events. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus De Pere Council 3955.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Pat; children, Kevin (Melissa) Buckmaster and Laurie (Ryan) Maes; grandchildren, Emily, Abigail, and Nolan Buckmaster, Natalie and Olivia Maes; sisters and their spouses, Karen (Dennis) Kuczer and Kaye (Dan) VandenLangenburg; siblings-in-law, Rita Buckmaster, Dick (Terry) Page, Bob (Sheila) Beaurain, Jim (Mary) Beaurain, Ken (Deb) Beaurain, and Kathy (Dale) Schley.
He was preceded in death by an infant son, Mark; his parents Neal and Dorothy; father- and mother-in-law, Mel and Arlene Beaurain; siblings, Carol Page, Jim, and John Buckmaster; sister-in-law Carol Beaurain.
Family and friends may call at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, De Pere from 9:00AM until 10:45AM on Thursday, May 9, 2024. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00AM with Fr. James Baraniak O.Praem. officiating.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund for Jeff will be established.
