Robert T. Wright 1924 - 2009 Robert T. Wright, 85, of Aurora, passed away Friday, July 17, 2009 at Provena McAuley Manor. He was born May 3, 1924 in Chicago, IL. Robert was employed by Com Ed and Northern Illinois Gas Company for 42 years. He served many years as Clerical Union President and also as Chairman of System Counsel U18 IBEW Physical and Clerical until he retired in 1985. He was an active member of Holy Angels Parish for Fifty three years and served on many committees. He served as an usher for over forty years. He was a founding member of the Knights of Columbus Bellarmine Counsel 4849 in 1958, and served as a grand Knight. He served as Scoutmaster for the Boy Scouts of America Troop 26 for twelve years. He served as the Lay Director for Cursillo in Christianity for many years and was involved in the movement for thirty seven years. Survivors include his loving wife of 63 years, Lois M. (Polcaster) Wright; seven children, Kathleen Ostrom of Monroe, WI, Thomas (Gail) Wright of Aurora, John (Melinda) Wright of Aurora, Nancy (Kyle) Olexa of Maple Grove, MN, Linda (Thomas) Kasper of Naperville, Daniel (Laura) Wright of Aurora, Beth (Martin) Lachat of Aurora; 25 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, William Wright, his parents, Eugene and Grace (Kelly) Wright; a sister, Grace Milbrandt and a brother, Eugene Wright. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at 11:30 AM from THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY to Holy Angels Church at 12:00 PM; Fr. Marianna Ery will officiate with interment in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
