Michael J. Quinn, 67, of the 800 block of Sagebrook Run passed away, Sunday, November 14, 2004, in Chesapeake, VA.
Michael was born April 21, 1937, in New York City, NY. He was the son of the late John and Margaret Quinn and was predeceased by his son, Timothy Quinn and his brother Jackie Quinn. Michael was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War, a Fourth Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus, a member of the Tidewater Irish American Society and was retired from Lockheed Martin Corporation.
Survivors include his loving wife of 47 years, Eileen M. Quinn, of Chesapeake; three children, Kathleen Cook and husband Mark of Chesapeake, Anne Bonner and husband John of Centreville, VA and Joseph Quinn and wife Jennifer of Ashburn, VA; 10 grandchildren, Kristin Cook, Timmy Cook, Kelly Cook, Tommy Cook, Mike Bonner, Chris Bonner, Danny Bonner, Pete Quinn, Billy Quinn and Mary Quinn; two sisters-in-law, Kathleen O'Farrell and Mary Ellen Quinn as well as nieces and nephews and special friends Larry and Nora Donnelly. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 17, 2004 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Father Christian Haydinger will officiate.
The interment will follow in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. A Christian wake service will be at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday at Oman Funeral Home & Crematory, Great Bridge Chapel, 653 Cedar Road. The family will receive friends following the service until 9:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, #20 The Koger Center, Suite 233, Norfolk, VA 23502. |
