WALTER G EWER

Walter G. Ewer (Walt), 90 passed away April 18, 2023 at Peppi's House. Born in Bird Island, Minnesota in July, 1932, Served Army national Gaurd from 1951-1953. Walt married Martha(Thurn)Ewer in April,1953. He moved to Tucson in February 1960, followed by his family. Walt worked in the HVACR field, and opened his own company in 1971. He was well known for his expertise in the field and was instrumental in restarting the Southern Chapter of RSES in Tucson. He taught refrigeration classes and received the Teacher of the Year award in 1987. Walt was involved with his church, St. Pius X and a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Walt was an Honorary Life member with over 45 years of membership.


Walt was preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Martha and son, Doug. Walt is survived by his children, Ruth Birdsong (Gary), Deborah Ewer, Barbara Lukanuski (Jeff), Patricia Smarik (Mike) Daniel (Lorrie), Brenda Russell (Mark) and Paul (Chelsea), 24 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter, and brothers Eugene Ewer, and Oliver Ewer
