John A. Feurer died August 1, 2023 at the age of 75.
John graduated Missouri S&T with a mechanical engineering degree, joined the Navy and served with the Antarctic Devron Six working on C130’s delivering supplies for the personnel in Antarctica. After the Navy he joined Westinghouse in Kansas City and then Orlando. In 2002 he joined TVA working mostly in Paducah.
John was a member of Saint Jude parish on Ashland Terrace and a member of the Knights of Columbus Philip Breen council #8576.
He was preceded in death by his parents Delmar and Luella (Krupp) Feurer; his Aunt Marie Krupp, Aunt Stella, and Uncle Floyd Krupp; siblings Dennis Feurer and Mary Feurer. John is survived by his wife Annamay Wittenauer Feurer whom he married in Valmeyer, Illinois in 1977; children JoAnne (Michael) Feurer Taylor, Margaret (James) Feurer Whelton; Grandchildren Jacquelyn Feurer, Zachary Whelton, and Gage Taylor; brothers Joseph (Kathy) Feurer and Paul Feurer; sister Rose (Dave) Feurer; cousin Rita (Frank) Wurth and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 8, at 11:00 until the funeral service at 12:00 at St. Jude Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery. |
