COUNCIL #13290 - ST. PETER THE APOSTLE REMEMBERS
DONALD HUGH FEEMSTER

Donald Hugh Feemster, Jr., 81, of Frederick, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 14, 2023, at his home. He was the cherished husband of 47 years of the late J. Linda Uttermohlen Feemster who predeceased him in July of 2020.

Don was born on March 21, 1942, in Baltimore, to the late Virginia and Donald H. Feemster, Sr. As a child, Don attended McDonogh School in Owings Mills. At the age of 17, he left school to join the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in Alaska and England.

Don is survived by daughter, Katherine O’Connor, of Spencer, WV, son, Robert J. Uttermohlen and his wife, Jennifer Watts Uttermohlen, of Frederick, a sister, Donna Bair and her husband Roger of Finksburg . He also leaves 5 grandchildren who loved and will greatly miss their “Pop-Pop”.

Don was a longtime member of St. John Catholic Church in Westminster. He was a past Knights of Columbus Grand Knight of Council # 1393 in Westminster, a fourth-degree member of that council, and an honorary life member. Since moving to Frederick, he attended St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Libertytown where he served as a health care minister. He was a volunteer at Carroll Hospital Center, Access Carroll, and the St Vincent DePaul Society a life member of the NRA.

Don enjoyed being outdoors where he loved to shoot trap and watch the large variety of birds he attracted to the yard with his many bird feeders. On pleasant evenings, he would spend time on the patio watching the planes that flew into the nearby airport and just enjoying the beautiful view. More than anything, Don loved his family, including the 4-legged ones that he would share his ice cream with almost every evening. Don had an infectious smile and a wonderful sense of humor. Everyone who met him loved him immediately.

Don now joins his wife Linda in heaven.
