David McNeese, 50, of Edmond, OK, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, with his family by his side.

David was born in Ponca City, OK, on July 17, 1972. He attended Edmond Memorial High School, where he met his wife and best friend Kristin Wires. He went on to complete his education at the University of Central Oklahoma with a BA in photojournalism. David and Kristin were married on Feb. 25, 1995. Kristin was the love of his life, and their unconditional love and mutual respect for each other were evident to all who knew them. They have two wonderful children, Jack, 19, and Emma, 16.

In high school, David discovered his passion for photography. Over the years, he worked in all different photography genres, including weddings, portraits, graduations, sports and editorial until finally landing with commercial photography. He always dreamed of owning his own studio one day, and in 2001, that dream came true. David and Kristin have owned McNeese Stills + Motion for 22 years and have enjoyed working with all of their clients. Many have become lifelong friends. David has been recognized as one of the region's finest photographers. His photography has earned him numerous awards from the Professional Photographers of America as well as the American Advertising Federation for creative vision.

David lived life to the fullest. He was always on the go and had a work ethic like no other. He is best known for his great sense of humor, creativity, hard work, giving heart and his love for his family. David's biggest joy was spending quality time with his family. He loved watching Jack play football and Emma dance. He was so proud of them and taught them many life lessons.

He enjoyed listening to music, riding around in his BMW Z4 and going to Lake Texoma and Tablerock Lake, where he got to spend time with family and friends. In his free time, he loved making things like furniture or artwork. He loved being creative.

David also liked to support his community and would annually discount or donate his services to organizations such as the United Way, Bethany's Children's Health Center and Neighborhood Services Organization. David was a huge supporter of the arts. He served on the Oklahoma Arts Institute Foundation Board and was passionate about giving back to the same organization that mentored him as a high school student. He also served on the Oklahoma Virtual Charter Academy Board as well as the Quartz Mountain Board.

David is survived by his wife Kristin McNeese; son Jack McNeese; daughter Emma McNeese; father, Martin McNeese; mother, Martha McNeese; and brother Brian (Laura) McNeese.
