Soter George Kokalis, January 29, 1936 - April 12, 2023, age 87. Cherished son of the late George and Katherine Kokalis. Caring brother of Barbara Monica Melvin. Dear uncle of David (Meyssi) Melvin and Michael (Anne Marie) Melvin.
Soter was a 3rd degree Knights of Columbus and a parishioner of St. Hubert Catholic Church since 1984. He was a proud member of the 3rd Degree Hoffman Schaumburg Square of Compasses Masonic Lodge and the American Federation of Teachers Local 1600. He also volunteered at St. Alexius Hospital and with the Schaumburg Township Democratic Party. He taught at UIC Circle Campus, Chicago State University and at Harper Community College for over 22 years.
Visitation will be Saturday, April 29th, from 9:30 AM to until time of service at 11:00 AM at Ahlgrim & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, 330 W. Golf Road, Schaumburg.
