Newbold, Samuel M., age 93, baptized into the hope of Christ's resurrection, Saturday, December 31, 2022. He was the beloved husband of the late Virginia "Ginny" Newbold (nee Ortell); dear father of Steve (Charlotte) Newbold, Carol (Dave Brown) Foersterling, Nancy (Kett) Winsor, and Bill (Chris) Newbold; loving grandfather of Jill (JJ) Polk, Lisa (Bryan) Hager, Jeff (Laurel) Newbold, Cassie (Aaron) Parker, Megan (Braxton) Payne, Tricia Newbold, Michael Newbold, Clairissa (Dustin) Burton, Mark (Alexa) Winsor, Jacob (Kacey) Brown, and Clayton (Alex) Brown; great-grandfather of Nora and Ben Hager, Sadie, Josephine and Jimmy Polk, Albie, Faye and Charlotte Parker, Caroline and Beau Newbold, Brooks and Cameron Burton, Amelia Winsor, and Blake Brown; and brother of the late Marie Gianini, Theresa Frisby, Mazie Liebengood, and John Newbold.

Services: Funeral Mass at St. Alban Roe Catholic Church, Wildwood, Friday, January 27, 10:30 a.m. Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Our Little Haven or Leukemia/Lymphoma Society.
