He was a proud salesman at Berman Brothers for many years. He enjoyed umpiring 16†mens softball, golf, bowling, racquetball, and dancing. Most of all, he was the biggest cheerleader to his grandchildren, watching soccer, baseball, wrestling, volleyball, and track events. He treasured the many vacations with family, concerts, dance recitals and competitions, ice skating events, and graduations.
He took pride in being a veteran in the United States Army. He served as a member of the Knights of Columbus, and as a welcoming usher at St. Cecilia Church in Mt. Prospect.
Win or lose he was an avid Cubs and Bears fan. He was fun to be with, an amazing artist, driving teacher to his children, and a jack of all trades fix-it man. Loved the song “Mack the Knife†and dancing with his wife, Joan. He also was a gracious host to many horseradish parties.
He entered into eternal life peacefully, surrounded by his loving family.
