COUNCIL #13290 - ST. PETER THE APOSTLE REMEMBERS
HAROLD CHARLES KRCMA

Harold C. Krcma, 95, of Sykesville, Maryland, passed from this life on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at Dove Hospice House in Westminster, MD. He was the husband of Eileen Krcma, his wife of 59 years.

Born on August 7, 1927, in Luxemburg, WI, he was the son of the late Victor and Emily (Meyer) Krcma. After serving in Japan in the occupation forces, he completed a degree in biology from St. Norbert College. Harold moved to Alaska, where he built his own plane, was a hunting guide, and opened the first Safeway in Anchorage. After marrying Eileen, they moved back to the lower 48 to start a family. He worked for the federal government, moved across the country, and eventually settled in Frederick, MD. As an avid gardener, he grew a variety of fruits and vegetables at every home he owned. Nothing made him happier than to share the produce from his garden, introduce someone to a new vegetable, or provide most of the items on the dinner table. He was always very generous with his array of homegrown items, everything from apples to zucchini. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Libertytown for many years.

Surviving in addition to his wife are six children: Marianne Krcma, Joanne Tucker and husband Shaun, Natalie Sincevich and husband Matthew, Kathleen Krcma, Thomas Krcma and wife Tami, Joseph Krcma and wife Traci, 11 grandchildren: Vika, Braddley, Rachel, Colin, Garrett, Victor, Marilyn, Danielle, Emily, Tyler and Gabriella; 2 brothers: Richard (Lois) Krcma and Victor Krcma; 3 sisters: Viola (Thomas) Tiber, Marie (Arnold) Rank, and Nancy Delfosse. He was preceded in death by a sister Loretta Chervenka, 2 brothers-in-law: Alvin Chervenka and Wayne Delfosse, and a sister-in-law, Dessa Krcma.
