Bob Duenes, 76, of Owatonna, passed away on Friday, September 23, 2022 at his home. He was on born on June 18, 1946, in Hollandale, Minnesota to Natividad and Guadalupe (Luna) Duenes. He graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1964. Bob married Josephine Gutierrez on July 9, 1966, at St. Theodores Catholic Church in Albert Lea.
Together they had one son Joey and adopted their son Harold. Bob and Josephine moved to Hopkins, Mn for a short while eventually moving back to Owatonna where they called “Homeâ€. Shortly after moving back to town Bob worked at Central Co-Op, Viracon and OTC.
Bob attended Fergus Falls Technological College where he received the training in becoming a chemical dependency counselor. Once he was finished with schooling, he started working at Hispanos En MN in St. Paul. After working there for 1.5 years he moved to Fountain Lake Treatment Center in Albert Lea working for over 21 years until retirement.
While Bob was retired, he still helped at Novak and Associates in Farmington and Beauterre in Owatonna and most recently Minnesota Adult and Teen Challenge in Rochester. Bob enjoyed traveling with his family. He loved his hour of playing Spanish music on the radio (KRFO,KATE,KOWZ). Bob had a kind heart to helping others.
