James "Jim" J. Farrell, 75, recently of Simpsonville, S.C., passed away Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2022. A native of Gettysburg, he was the son of the late Timothy and Marie Bray Farrell. He and his wife, Linda, lived in Hollidaysburg for more than 35 years.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Farrell; children, Victor (Amanda) James Farrell and Kimberly (Kenneth) Anne Yates; grandchildren: Nathaniel, Andre and Jack; and siblings, Michael (Annette) Farrell and Cecilia (Walter) Bloom.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his twin brother, John Farrell.
Jim served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of the VFW and American Legion Post 271. He enjoyed pheasant hunting, playing golf and being active in several organizations, including the Moose, Eagles, Elks Lodge, Bavarian Club, and Heidelberg Country Club.
A Memorial service with Military Honors will be held at a later date.
