Retired Captain Michael J. MacMahon who retired from the Kansas City Missouri Police Department, December 30, 1995 passed away peacefully November 12, 2021. Retired Captain MacMahon was born February 1, 1944 in Galway, Ireland, and was 77 years of age at the time of his death. Retired Captain MacMahon was appointed to the department on May 1, 1967. His assignments included Admiral Boulevard Station, Employment Section, South Patrol Division, Administration Bureau, Traffic Specialist Unit, Community Liaison Division, East Patrol Division, Reserve Unit, Traffic Division, North Patrol Division, Robbery Unit, Patrol Bureau Office and South Patrol Division where he was assigned at the time of his retirement. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Corene MacMahon. Michael's greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren. He was a Third degree member of our Knights of Columbus Council 4962. |
