Gerald Dennis "Jerry" Strong, 69, of Fredericksburg, VA, passed away Monday, June 4, 2012 at Mary Washington Hospital. Jerry was born June 3, 1943 in Elmira, New York to the late John E. and Margaret "Peg" Murphy Strong. He attended the University of Scranton in Pennsylvania and the Catholic University of America in Washington, DC. Jerry was employed as a partner at Coopers and Lybrand Accounting Firm as a CPA. After retirement, he worked doing accounting work in the Fredericksburg area opening his own business, Strong and Associates. Jerry loved his dogs and cats. Survivors include his loving and devoted partner, Diane Rhodes; daughter Kathleen Shugars; and his former wife, Mary Strong; Cindy Vaughan, devoted partner of Jim Strong, and nephews, Dr. John Strong and Michael Strong all of New York.
