Robert A. Yednock, 68, of Fredericksburg passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 in the arms of his loving wife, Linda, whom he married in 1974. Bob was born in Washington, D.C. to John and Esther Yednock. He received an associate's degree from St. Gregory's College and a bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland in 1972. Bob began his teaching career in 1976 in Fairfax County having retired after 32 years of service. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church where he honorably served as a Eucharistic Minister. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, John and Esther; and his brother, Chris. He is survived by his wife of 43 years; his six children, Brian (Tammy), Jeneane (Chris), Joseph (Jami), Jennifer (Tom), Joanne (TJ), Maryanne (Dave); his thirteen grandchildren, Christian, Madison, Charlie, Kalib, Caden, Jocelyn, Alysa, Molly, Abigail, Anna, Noah, Brayden and Ethan; two granddaughters on the way; his siblings, Jim (Maria), Pat, Steve (Rosa), Joan-Marie (Dave), Jeanette (Kevin), Karen and Theresa; sister-in-law Donna; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, October 17 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. A Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 18 at St. Mary Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. Dad has been described as a kind, hard-working and generous man who always put God and family first.
