George Robert Latzy of Southport passed away Thursday, December 12, 2013.
He was born to the late George A. and Elizabeth Latzy on March 1, 1926, in Mingo Junction, Ohio.
He was married to his beloved wife Connie for 66 years and 11 months.
George was a manager with the Ohio Bell Telephone Company for 42 years. He was passionate about history, particularly the Civil War, and loved to visit battlefields. He also loved to read, ride his motorcycle and had many hobbies, including woodworking and pottery.
George is survived by his daughters, Victoria (Devone) Edge of Leland and Jennifer (Greg) Entler of Columbus, Ohio. He is also survived by his beloved grandaughter, Crystal Edge, and his three grandsons, Aaron Edge and Adam and Eric Entler.
