Beloved husband of Elizabeth “Betty†Amelotti (nee Miller); loving father of David Patrick (Mandy) and Meredith Anne Amelotti; dear son of the late Charles and Helen Amelotti; dear brother of Charles (Marjorie) Amelotti, Elaine (James) Weber, Robert (Sally) Amelotti, and the late Peter Amelotti. Our dearest uncle, great-uncle, Godfather, cousin, Deacon and friend to many.
Dave was a graduate of Prep South, class of 1971. He attended Cardinal Glennon College and UMSL. For over 25 years, he owned a St. Louis Post Dispatch newspaper route in Chesterfield. He later owned and operated the Sunset Hills and Gravois Bluffs IHOP restaurants. For the past five years, he was a loyal employee of Straub’s Markets in Clayton.
Dave was ordained to the sacred order of the diaconate on June 5, 1999. Since his ordination, he served as a deacon in his home parish, Our Lady of Providence in Crestwood. He also assisted in the Pastoral Care Department at St. Mary’s Health Center in Richmond Heights. Dave was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Father Griffin Council, #3586.
Dave was always very proud of his family, and enjoyed spending time with them. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan, and always enjoyed a great round of golf!
Services: Funeral from Kutis Affton Chapel, 10151 Gravois, on Saturday, June 26, at 9:30 a.m. to Our Lady of Providence for 10 a.m. Mass. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery. Masses or contributions to St. Vincent de Paul Our Lady of Providence, or de Greeff Hospice House preferred. Visitation Friday 3-9 p.m. |
