Angelo passed on Friday morning (6/4). Angelo was a Knight for 58 years. Angelo served 2 terms as the Grand Knight of our Council. He was our 8th Grand Knight (1967-1968) and our 12th Grand Knight (1971-1972). Additionally he served at the state level as State Warden.
Angelo Polvere, age 91. Beloved husband to the late Margaret, nee O'Brien. Devoted father to William (Annette) Polvere, Diane Yost, Barbara Dunne, and Linda (Tom) Fenneman. Cherished "Grampy" to Christopher (Tanya), Linda (Kevin), KC (Jess), David, and the late Billy. Adored great "Grampy" to Mason, Ava, Declan, Deacon, and one on the way. Dear brother to Marie, and the late Joseph. Angelo was the former Mayor of Inverness, IL. He graduated from Northeastern University in Boston, MA as a civil engineer. He was an engineer and Vice President for Mayfair Construction Company. He was a man of many talents being a private pilot, Ham Radio operator, avid fisherman, woodworker, self taught musician, and garage sale enthusiast. He will be missed by many. A memorial visitation will be held Saturday, June 19, at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 185 E. Northwest Hwy., Palatine IL, from 10:00-12:00pm and a prayer service will take place at 12:00pm. |
