Mr. George Campbell, age 75, of Oak Island died after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s disease.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Virginia (Ginny); his brother, Alan Campbell; and his step-son, Craig Shoemaker. He was predeceased by his sister, Leslie Babson, and step-son, Cliff Shoemaker.
George grew up in Arlington, Virginia, and graduated from the University of Virginia with a degree in EE. He spent many years as a software engineer. Sports were his avocation and included touch football, tennis and jogging.
