Mr. James Joseph Fallon, age 68, of Southport died Saturday, February 11, 2012, at Duke University Hospital. Mr. Fallon was born in Camden, New Jersey, on June 6, 1943, and was the son of the late Thomas and Alice Waters Fallon. Mr. Fallon was employed for 30 years with the Washington Township (New Jersey) Public Schools and at the time of his retirement he was serving as Director of Guidance.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus. Mr. Fallon served his community as a volunteer with Lower Cape Fear Hospice and The First Tee of Brunswick County. He was an avid golfer.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Fallon; two sons, Christopher Fallon and wife Nancy of Huntersville, North Carolina, and Sean Fallon and wife Kathleen of Bridgeton, New Jersey; four grandchildren, Kathleen, Jack, Kaitlyn and Connor; two brothers, Thomas Fallon of Cherry Hill, New Jersey, and William Fallon of Haddonfield, New Jersey.
