REV. WILLIAM J BRENNAN

 

The Reverend William J. Brennan, a retired priest of the Archdiocese of Louisville, died Sunday, August 31 at the age of 90. Father Brennan had served as Pastor of Holy Family, Saints Peter and Paul (Danville), and Saint Therese Parishes before retiring. He served as Assistant and Associate Pastor at St. Ann and as Associate Pastor at Holy Name. He also was the founding pastor of St. Mary Church in Perryville, which was a mission of SS. Peter and Paul in Danville. He was Chaplain of the Knights of Columbus Council of Danville and was in residence at Our Lady, St. Margaret Mary, and St. Joseph Home for the Aged.

The concelebrated funeral Liturgy will be at Saint Margaret Mary Church, 7813 Shelbyville Road on Thursday, September 4th at 11:00 a.m. Archbishop Kurtz will preside.

Visitation will be at Arch L. Heady Resthaven Funeral Home, 4400 Bardstown Road on Wednesday, September 3rd from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday, September 4th from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery following the funeral Liturgy.
