Charles Francis Klees, Sr. died Friday, March 17, 2006, at age 83. A long-time resident of Tucson, Chuck is survived by his wife of 54 years, Barbara. He is also survived by his children, Susan Wisz (Tom), Chuck, Jr. (Colleen), Eileen Rotkis (Tom), Margaret, and Pete (Speranta). Chuck also has four grandchildren, Kevin and Jeffrey Wisz, Collin Klees and Caitlin Rotkis. Chuck was born in Chicago to Stella and Francis Klees, who have preceded him in death, along with his brothers, Bernard and Francis. His sister, Phyllis Hurley, survives him. A retired Commander of the United States Navy, Chuck was an accomplished pilot. "He has slipped the surly bounds of earth, and danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings, put out his hand, and touched the face of God." The services will be private.
