COUNCIL #3182 - CHRISTOPHER COUNCIL REMEMBERS
MARK A. DUBICKI

Mark A. Dubicki, age 58, of Bear, DE, passed away peacefully on Thursday,

December 12, 2013 following a brief illness. An adventurous soul and an alumnus of Glen Cove High, his hometown in New York, he skipped graduation with lifelong friend, David Dictor, to drive through Canada instead. His travels throughout the country eventually led him to Austin, Texas where he resided for a number of years, living the punk rock lifestyle, before settling down in Delaware in his early 30's. He worked as a locomotive engineer for SEPTA for the next 25 years, finally retiring in May of 2013.

Mark was a doting, loving father to the five children he brought into the world. He loved sports (the Eagles were his team of choice), old movies, fantasy football, Broadway, the Grateful Dead in his younger years, and Big Band a little later on in his life. He was a master at the game of cribbage, ranked number two player in the world, a fact he constantly boasted of, often following with a joke that he had too much time on his hands. One of his best qualities was his unwavering loyalty; whether it was his employment at SEPTA, his family, his friends, work out routines, or even a simple lunch date, you could always rely on him to follow through.

Mark is survived by his wife, Marjorie; son, Michael "Jake" Dubicki; 4 daughters: Leigh Anna Bauer (Andrew Klein), Christina "Tina" Dubicki, Morgan Dubicki and Delilah Dubicki; brothers, Alan and Clay Dubicki; sister, Patti Weaver; sister-in-law, Donna; Zoey Cook - whom he loved dearly; and a host of nieces and nephews.
