He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Jo Ann Tobolka. Together they joyfully built their lives around family, friends and sports. After moving to Dallas and graduating from Woodrow Wilson High School, he enlisted in U.S. Airforce where he proudly served 4 years in Asia during the Korean conflict. It is that experience that led him to a lifelong career in aerospace engineering.

In 1952 after returning from Korea he completed his studies at SMU. During this time, he exhibited the charm and intelligence to marry Jo Ann Hill. Together they began their journey of raising three sons, travelling the world and developing an extended circle of great friends. Henry spent 33 years pursuing his aviation interests at LTV/ E-Systems in Greenville, Texas. He spent much of that time directing the maintenance program for Airforce One, the US presidential fleet. Outside of his career he took a very active role as a father, volunteering within his church and as a community leader. His most prized activity was best described as family athletic director. He was instrumental in establishing the Dallas Parochial League while volunteering at Saint Phillips Catholic School. His commitment to organization, discipline, and athletics became a central theme for family activities. His influence reached farther than just his own sons.

His life impacted many other men within his coaching years and support at all of the sporting events throughout the years. Henry was devoted to his family and grandchildren. Jo Ann and Henry could always be found watching his children and grandchildren participate in all activities. Papo was the ultimate patriarch.

He was preceded in death by his parents and oldest son, Cary Tobolka. Survivors include his wife Jo Ann, son Michael J.
