I regret to inform you of the passing of Brother Mikey Small. He was 44 years old.
I last spoke with Mikey last Wednesday when he let me know that his brother Duane Flake, with whom shares a home, was taken to UofL Hospital. Duane and Mikey both tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
Mikey was found dead yesterday, 11 May 2020 at his home.
Mikey was a man of faith, a pure soul with a smile and a STRONG handshake for everyone he met. He loved the Lord and the Church, and was a strong Pro-Life prayer warrior. He will be missed and as Fr. Bill says, the world will be a lesser place without him. I'm grateful that I was blessed to be his Brother and his friend.
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
