ALLEN L NUGENT

Allen L. Nugent, 61, a devoted Catholic, a loving husband, father and grandfather died Wednesday, December 20, 2006 surrounded by family at his home in Goose Creek. He was born September 7, 1945 in Boston, Massachusetts, one of five children of Alton and Gloria Nugent. Retired Master Chief Nugent served 20 years in the Navy before his 20 year career with Centurum Inc. Allen was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, Promise Keepers, and was a long standing volunteer with the Special Olympics.

Allen is survived by his wife, Pat Jacob Nugent; three daughters Linda N. Smith, Ladson, SC; Cindy Nugent and Barbie Ford and her husband, Andy, all of Goose Creek; two brothers: Dennis M. Nugent and wife Ouida, Baton Rouge, LA, and David A. Nugent and wife Becky, Wilmington, NC; two sisters: Maria A. Nugent, Tampa, FL, and Melody A. Landaiche and husband Barry, Lafayette, CO; and four grandchildren: Bryan, Chase, Baylee, and Tyler. The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held at 3:30PM Saturday, December 23, 2006 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Interment with full military honors will follow at Plantation Memorial Gardens, Hwy 17A, Moncks Corner.
