Joseph Raymond “Ray†Ching, 81, of Morganza, formerly of Leonardtown, died Dec. 2, 2013, in Lexington Park.
Born June 12, 1932, in Leonardtown, he was the son of the late Mary G. Wathen Ching and Grover Ching.
He was the husband of Ruth Marie Wehrmann Ching, whom he married at St. Aloysius Catholic Church. She preceded him in death on Dec. 26, 1972. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Mildred Lacey, Mary B. Fuller, Aloysius Ching and Johnny Ching.
He graduated from Margaret Brent High School and was a lifelong resident of St. Mary’s County. He was a maintenance mechanic for Baltimore Gas and Electric and retired after 30 years. He was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus.
