John Glynn of Owatonna died July 12, 2019, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester. Mass of Christian Burial is set for Wednesday, July 17, 2019, at 11:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Owatonna. Friends may greet the family on Tuesday, July 16, 2019, from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at Brick – Meger Funeral Home and one hour prior to the funeral liturgy on Wednesday.

John was born June 2, 1941, in Waseca the son of Eugene and Mary (Conway) Glynn. He attended school in Janesville and was a member of the graduating class of 1959. After high school he attended Mankato State and enlisted in the Army Reserve. John was united in marriage to Carol Bishman on August 22, 1964, at Sacred Heart Church in Owatonna. John worked 38 years for MnDOT and retired in 2002, as a bridge superintendent. John’s greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren along with hunting, fishing, coaching, playing cards, feeding his sweet tooth and making people smile.

John will be missed by his wife of 54 years, Carol his children John Glynn of Owatonna, James (Kelly) Glynn of Rochester, Karen (Perry) Krenske of Faribault, Kathleen (Nick) Ladin of Naperville, IL. His grandchildren Taylor, Toni, Lauren and Logan Glynn, Hunter and Kate Glynn, Travis (Kailey), Ashley and Dylan Krenske, Adair (Max) Molitor, Joseph, Zachary, Faith, and Lydia Ladin. Along with Six Great-Grandchildren. His siblings Michael (Lucy) Glynn, Donald (Deloris) Glynn, Dennis (Mary Alice) Glynn, Mary Alice (Jerry) Lang, Cletus (Sharon) Glynn, Helen (Richard) Ward, Audrey (John) Bennett, Maigread (John) Vetter, Raymond (Lana) Glynn, Joseph (Cathy) Glynn, Eugene (Julie) Glynn and Erin Glynn. Along with many nieces and nephews. John is proceeded in death by his parents and sister Colleen Loftus. In lieu of flowers memorial are prefered to Owatonna Alzheimer’s Association.
