"Marge"'s Obituary
McGee, Margaret Mary "Marge" (nee Alferman), passed away at home Saturday, August 31, 2019, with her beloved husband of 60 years Arlis John McGee by her side. She was born in St. Louis, a daughter of Harold and Margaret (nee Cawley) Alferman. Marge was a faithful employee over the years and made lifelong friendships wherever she worked from Bell Telephone, Hazelwood & Rockwood School Districts, to Hallmark. She was a devoted and loving homemaker and mother. Marge also volunteered throughout her life starting with her children’s PTO, Girl Scouts, her church, and anywhere else where help was needed. She enjoyed being a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at St. Albans Roe and her friendships at the church. Marge was also a lifelong St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan and loved to watch the games. She is the dear mother of Karen (Trent) Hungate, Timothy P. (Laura) McGee, Colleen (Timothy A.) Sparkman and the late Jean Baker McGee; loving grandmother of Monica Baker, Dillon Baker, Margaret "Meg" Hanna, Emily Hanna, Samuel Hanna, Timothy P. Sparkman, Nicole Sparkman and Kellie McGee; dear sister of Harold Alferman, Thomas Alferman, James Alferman and Mary Ann Senf. Marge also leaves behind many in-laws, nieces, and nephews. Marge was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Jean, brother Robert Alferman, and a son-in-law David Hanna III.
Services: Funeral Mass at St. Alban Roe Catholic Church, 2001 Shepard Rd, Wildwood, 63038 Friday, 10:00 a.m. with interment at Holy Cross Cemetery in Wildwood. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Alban Roe Catholic Church. Funeral arrangements are a service of the SCHRADER Funeral Home and Crematory.
