Passed peacefully on July 24, 2019, at the age of 88, with loving family by his side.
Reunited with his dearest wife Gloria (2017) (nee Durocher). Proud and loving father to Chris of London, Ont. Predeceased by parents, Walter Meloche and Stella Morencey-Pond. Dear brother to the late Robert Meloche and Teresa, the late Sharon Simpson and Jack, Bev and Ken Anderson, Bill Hodgins and Catherine DeMarco, June Hodgins and Aleck Smith. Brother-in-law to Gerald and Laurette Durocher and Jane Peltier.
Ron will be missed and remembered by many nieces, nephews, friends and his furry companion, Jerry. Special thanks to Mike and Christine Durocher, Rob and Cherie Mackie, neighbours and fellow parishioners for their care and compassion shown to Ron.
He was proud of his career in food services starting at the age of 17 at the Prince Edward Hotel, and numerous Detroit area clubs including the Roostertail and the Detroit Athletic Club. He later continued his career at the GM Trim Plant Cafeteria.
In retirement, he assisted many families as part of the funeral industry. Ron became more involved in his parish, Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, as an usher and an active member in the Knights of Columbus Council 13405 as a 3rd Degree Knight. |
