SEMENIUK, Stanley (Stan) Francis
October 4, 1936 – March 26, 2019
After a valiant struggle with esophageal cancer, Stan gently went to meet his Lord on March 26, 2019. He is predeceased by his loving wife of 55 years, Marie Alice (nee Faguy), his parents Nicolas and Caroline, and his brother John Joseph. Stan is survived by his son Christopher (Julie), daughter Michelle (John) Spanik and sister Helen. He also leaves behind his brother-in-law Arthur (Barb), sisters-in-law Helen and Sheila as well as many nieces and nephews.
Stan was a former employee of McMaster University and a life member of the Chartered Accountants of Ontario. He was an active member of Holy Rosary Church, a Lector and a Eucharistic Minister. Stan was also a member of the Knights of Columbus for over 50 years and the Halton SERRA Club. He was a life member of Theatre Burlington, and a former member of the St Thomas More Players. Stan was an avid volunteer, whether as a soccer coach, involvement with Scouting, with the Burlington International Games, giving someone a much needed ride, and most recently, with the Out for Lunch programme.

Visitation at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant Street (one block North of City Hall), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Sunday, March 31, 2019 from 3-5 and 7-9p.m. Vigil prayers at 8:30p.m. Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 287 Plains Road East, Burlington on Monday, April 1, 2019 at 10a.m. Interment at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Stan to The Carpenter Hospice would be appreciated.
