COUNCIL #4962 - RAYTOWN- POPE PIUS XII REMEMBERS
JOHN M. GILLUM

John M Gillum passed away February 2, 2019. John was born April 3, 1957, son of Chester and Sharon Gillum. John grew up in Kansas City, Kansas area where he attended elementary and high school. He is survived by his wife Darcy Gillum, and sons Jon, Joshua and Alex Gillum as well as his mother Sharon Gillum of Kansas City, Kansas.

While working as a caretaker with Don Bosco, he would provide the council with paper goods no longer wanted by the center. Some of the items still used til this day, were provided by the center and John. Not sure how many more of those little halloween napkins there are left, but the hall has used a ton of them. John loved all his family and was a good friend to all who were fortunate enough to know him.

John was a member of the fraternal order of the Knights of Columbus. He was a very proud 4th Degree Member. John was active at his Council 4962 as long as his health allowed.

John was rich in family as he had many, many, aunts, uncles and cousins. John was Catholic. He was 2 months away of being 62 and retirement. The last year brought him much pain, but he never let you go without a laugh and his love. John loved all his family and was a good friend to all who were fortunate enough to know him. He will be missed by all.
