FRANK LENZO

 

FRANK LENZO Frank Lenzo, 79, of Kerrville, Texas, previously of Las Vegas and Hammond, Ind., has been called to be with our Lord God in Heaven April 23, 2014. Frank was born June 21 1934, in Calumet City, Ill., to James Lenzo Sr. and Norma Dinelli. Frank was first generation Italian American and the third of seven children. Frank obtained his high school diploma May 1953 within three-and-a-half years of attending Hammond Technical School. He went on to win the State of Indiana Wrestling Championship title for 127lb. weight class in 1952. A young lady named Joann also caught Frank's eye while in high school. Frank was drafted the fall of 1954, and served in the U.S. Army March 1955-Feb. 1957 with a tour in France. He later married his life companion, Joann Lee Bozack, of Hammond, June 22, 1957. Frank worked for 30 years at Youngstown Sheet and Tube at #2 Tin Mill in East Chicago, Ind. After retiring, Frank and Joann moved to Las Vegas in 1982. He was a past Grand Knight with the Knights of Columbus and served as an usher at St. Viator Catholic Church for 25 years. Frank worked as head of hotel maintenance for the Sunset Station Casino up until 2011. In his free time, Frank enjoyed fishing, camping and traveling. Frank was preceded in death by his wife, of 56 years, Joann; grandson, Joshua Trushaw; and brother, Peter Lenzo. Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his daughter, Robin Trushaw of Las Vegas; sons, Randy (Cheri) from Lowell, Ind. and Mark (Juanita) of Kerrville, Texas; nine grandchildren, Christopher Lenzo of Las Vegas, Anthony Lenzo of Loveland, Colo., Theresa (Dominick) Petravito, Jennifer (Artemio) Del Real and Nicholas Lenzo (Christina) of Lowell, Tracey Lenzo (Brandon) and Rhonda Lenzo of San Antonio, Michael Trushaw of Las Vegas, and Brianna Trushaw Kerrville of Texas; two great-granddaughters, Rae Ann and Rilyn Petravito of Lowell; four brothers; one sister; and numerous nephews and nieces.
