SCHUNK, John Frederick Peacefully at The Carpenter Hospice on November 27, 2018. Loving husband of Mary Gowan. Caring father of Bradley and David of Vancouver, Stephanie, Lindsay, and Andrew. Cherished Poppa John to Ella, Henry, Libby, Eilee, Hollie, and Maisie. Dear brother of Donald (Betty) of St. Lois and Susan Clewer (David). John will be lovingly remembered by nieces, nephews, cousins and his many friends. In following John's wishes a private cremation has taken place. A Mass to celebrate John's life will be held at St. Patrick's Catholic Church (196 Kenwood Dr., Burlington) on Saturday, December 1 at 1 p.m. with a reception to follow in the Church Hall. In lieu of flowers a donation to "Tomorrow Stems From You" (Hamiltonhealth.ca) or The Carpenter Hospice would be appreciated. "It was most appropriate that John passed on 'Giving Tuesday', John spent his life giving back to his family, his church, his neighbours and his community". |
