Rowland (Rowly) J. Schiffert, a man whose passion for life was irrepressible, died on May 18th, 2018 surrounded by his family. Rowly, born in Allentown, was the son of the late Earl H. Schiffert and Ella B. Kulp. He was predeceased by a brother George and his first wife Ann (Hanrahan) Schiffert. He was a devoted husband to Josephine (O'Brian Bishop) Schiffert for 32 years. Rowly is survived by his wife JoAnne, daughter Barbara Brucker, grandson David Brucker, adopted son Elijah Cusick, stepsons Scott and Michael Bishop, 6 step grandchildren and brother Paul Schiffert. A memorial service will be help on August 24 at 10:30 at St. Joseph the Worker RC Church 1879 Applewood Dr Orefield, PA.
