EDWARD A HESS

Edward A. Hess, of Voorhees formerly of West Berlin died suddenly on October 22, 2014, at the age of 68.

Beloved son of the late Martin J. Sr. and the late Liberata C. (nee Vicuso) Hess. Dear brother of the late Martin F. Hess. Devoted uncle of Connie, Gina, Terri and Lori. Loving great uncle of Kevin, Gracie and Lucky.

Ed was born in Philadelphia and grew up in West Berlin. He was a God loving man who dedicated his life to his God and to the care of his mother who died in 2011 at the age of 103. Ed lived a simple life, he maintained a driver's license, but did not own a car, He preferred to walk or ride his bicycle around town. His mom taught him how to cook and he enjoyed cooking for family and friends especially around the holidays. He was a regular at the Sunday 8 am Mass at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel when he lived in West Berlin and later at the 8:30am Mass at St. Andrew the Apostle Church when he moved to Echelon Tower in Voorhees. He was also a member of St. Jude Council # 6551 Knights of Columbus, Gibbsboro. Ed always had a smile on his face and a story to tell you. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on his family Wednesday 10/29, 10 to 11 AM at St. Simon Stock Parish/ Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, White Horse Pike at Franklin Ave, Berlin, where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM. Burial at Gate of Heaven Cemetery will be private.
