COUNCIL #14446 - MARY MOTHER OF GOD REMEMBERS
KENNETH LLOYD ROSSEL

Brother Ken Rossel, passed away at home on August 28, 2018, aged 72. He is survived by his wife Agnes, son Gordon, daughter Kathy (Tixier), son-in-law Sebastien, and two grandchildren, Benjamin and Brianne. He was predeceased by his father Hendrick and mother Mary, brother Bob, and his sisters Helen, Freda and Elsie.

Ken lived his life for his family, friends, and colleagues, and had many interests and accomplishments. He obtained a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Waterloo in 1970, and built a 45-year career at Dearborn and Buckman, during which he kept an open door for colleagues needing guidance or simply an opportunity to prove themselves. His wife, Agnes, supported him each step of the way, and together they raised a family, made many cherished friends, and shaped countless memories golfing, skiing, fishing, and sightseeing. He looked forward to spending time with his treasured grandchildren, who affectionately referred to him as ‘Doodad’.

Ken was a generous man and will be profoundly missed by those that knew and loved him. Ken was active in his Condominium Board, serving as Chairman. He was actively involved with the Right of Christian Initiation of Adults group at Mary Mother of God Parish, the Knights of Columbus, and the Alzheimer’s Society of Peel. Ken served as a member of the Mary Mother of God Capital Campaign Team and was a valuable member of the Annual Parish Golf Day Committee, and also served alongside Agnes as a volunteer with the St. Andrew Catholic Elementary School Breakfast Program.

Ken loved golf, and more importantly the friendships he made and maintained through the years, on various courses, and here at Deerfield on our Annual Golf Day.

Ken will forever remain a leader, mentor, father, husband, brother-in-law, uncle, grandfather and treasured friend to many. A finer gentleman you could not hope to meet.

Well done good and faithful servant. You have left an incredible legacy. We shall miss you
